Of those updated in the last two years (that's a very generous period) all but a few have nothing to do with travel anymore. Only a few have been updated in 2008.

Some of the abandoned sites are pretty good and should be moved to a new "completed trip" category or something.

As far as I can tell, no new sites have been added in about 4-5 years.

I did volunteer to edit the category. I was turned down. That doesn't bother me so much as the fact that clearly no one is editing it.

I wouldn't have bothered to volunteer if someone was taking care of it, but it clearly hasn't been looked at in about 5 years.

And it isn't as if this is a money making category where people are trying to game the system to get a higher Google rank.

Either someone should edit the category or let someone else do it. Either way, the current category directory is more a museum than an active directory of useful information.

Hey museum also provides information though, its not totally useless.

But than again when will dmoz address the lack of editors helping out is another story, sorry nothing can be done about it other than give it a shot once.
